1 pkg spice cake
1/2 c butter, melted
3 eggs
1 c pumpkin
1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp grated orange peel
dash of salt
1/2 c chooped pecans
reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix. In large bowl, combine remaining cake mix, butter, and 1 egg; mix well. Pat into greased 13x9x2 inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min. Combine reserved cake mix, pimpkin, sugar, 2 eggs, orange peel. and dash of salt. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 1 to 2 min. Pour over partially baked layer. Top with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees until set, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool; cut into bar refrigerate. Makes 32.
To use yellow cake mix, add 1/2 tsp cinnamon(or pumpkin pie spice) to reserved mix; 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg to remaining mix
